Cambus 25 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Superb single grain Scotch whisky from the closed Cambus Distillery, independently bottled by those That Boutique-y Whisky Company. After quarter of a century of slow, patient maturation, this expression was bottled up at 50.1% ABV. A snowy scene appears on the label, complete with a snow family and cheerful little robins dotting the landscape. Oh, and barrels. Lots of barrels.
Batch 14 is a release of 462 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Vanilla sponge, jam tarts, and red chilli flake.
Palate
Cooked apple, brown sugar, maple syrup, a good touch of oily oak.
Finish
Baking spice, vanilla blossom, and more orchard fruit.
