Cambus 25 Year Old 1991 (cask 1112939) - The Octave (Duncan Taylor)

Single grain from the sadly-closed Cambus distillery, independently bottled by Duncan Taylor. It was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2017 after Duncan Taylor finished the whisky for 9 months in an octave cask, which are much smaller than your average cask, offering greater surface area to volume ratio (a good thing for maturation). It also means there is less whisky to go around - only 65 bottles of this 25 year old Cambus were produced!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Honey-nut cornflakes in milk, honey on toast and some allspice warmth.

    Palate

Chewy orange sweeties, cinnamon rolls, spicy oak influence and a hint of fresh linen.

    Finish

    Oily walnut and runny toffee.
