Bourbon

A single cask bottling of single grain Scotch whisky from the sadly closed Cambus distillery, independently bottled by us! This was distilled in September 1991 and set aside to mature in a single bourbon hogshead for 24 long years, before being bottled in March 2016. As with the rest of our Single Cask Series, this was bottled at cask strength, without any chill-filtration or additional colouring.
Pear tarte tatin and raspberry sorbet. Custard-filled pastries and some fresh yellow plum.
Still packed with creamy fruit notes - now with peaches and cantaloupe at the fore. A hint of oak-y warmth brings balance.
Pink peppercorn, flapjack, soft vanilla and mint imperials.

Massively rich, but with an excellent undercurrent of an almost lactic quality that provides a wonderful foil.
