Caermory

Caermory single malt is the result of a Business Expansion Scheme (BES), the short-lived precursor to Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS). Distilled at Tobermory on the Isle of Mull in 1992 and matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, the remaining malt was subsequently purchased by a group of private individuals including Derek Hewson. This 21 year old comes from a single cask (#238), and a 25 year old release is also planned.
Green apple, rubbed mint, vanilla and cinnamon swirls with maltiness and some oak developing.
More oak now, hazelnutty with fresh nutmeg and linseed with a little marmalade and real lemonade.
Surprisingly clean with late, subtle florals (again on the nutty side).
