Nose: Vanilla fudge and runny caramel balance sweet, earthy notes of roasted chilli. Buttered rye bread/pumpernickel follows, with Apple Frusli in the distance.
Palate: Superbly soft, the vanilla hits first, bringing with it waves of creamy milk chocolate, Cadbury's Fudge bars, and of course, butterscotch. Things remain creamy with notes of crème brûlée, rice pudding, and buttery oak.
Finish: Silky sweet layers of toasted oats, golden syrup, and Angel Delight (butterscotch flavour) are supported by a smidge of rye spice and dried orange wheels, all wrapped up with gently drying mellow old oak.
