Bushmills Original

Bushmill's original whisky is a smooth, easy-drinking whiskey that has been produced in Ireland for centuries.

Bushmills Original is made up of grain whiskey matured for five years before blending with malt whiskeys. Bushmill's Irish whiskey is triple distilled and very supple.

Bushmills Original is a consistent, great value-for-money, triple-distilled blend made with a core of flavoursome malt and grain whiskies

Reviews for Bushmills Original
A Pleasant Whiskey
To be honest I don't get all this "Fruity", "Vanilla", "Citrus", "Cardamom", "Ginger", "Aromatic", "Blossomy" stuff from this whiskey. It's a light, easy to drink, pleasant enough Whiskey.

Pleasantly surprised
I picked up a litre of this for about £20 (I recently started a new job controlling stock at a local supermarket and found this at the back of the lockup, reduced to clear so gave it a go). I'm a scotch drinker at heart, but this surprised me. So easy to drink. It's dry, but not overly so. I'm not very good at hitting notes, but I'd say 'fruity, with hints of vanilla?'
I'm actually excited to try the 10 year malt that I found at the same time. But that'll be another story..

Nice simple whisky.
Reviewing this priced at £17. No its not a single malt but it is a very pleasant, gentle, palletable whisky. Honey is the dominant flavour im picking out of this. Its all very subtle but theres no off notes either. Im trying my best to avoid using the adjective “smooth” in this review. 4/5

Not much more to add and a very short finish

Room for improvement
Had this just after Paddy, and clearly not as good as Paddy whiskey. Not rounded, a distinct impression of solvent and old wood gone bad, sweetish, light mouth burn, aromatic impressions as not well balanced or well composed. Would not buy again.

Buttery soft and sweet. Excellent value
I very rarely buy Irish whisky, but I thought I would give this a try. For the price, there's nothing to complain about. Nevertheless, this might not be to everyone's taste. It is light, floral, sweet and very very easy to drink. Absolutely no grain harshness.
I look forward to sampling more expensive Irish drams in the near future. Given the state of The Scottish Whisky Industry (and the horrific price of Japanese spirit), I would rather spend my money somewhere else.

Light, subtle, but dry finish interesting.
This is very subtle. It's not hugely flavoured. But it's very interesting because its so dry on the finish. It's a typical Bushmills bourbon cask, and while it's rounded off by the grain, the hints you get of that bone dry coconut from the bourbon casks is very pleasant. 3.5.

Thin, floral, underwhelming, but easy to drink
I tried this for the first time today. I admittedly prefer scotch in general. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.

Light on the nose with not much going on for me.

It feels quite thin & there isn't much... Oomf. Very light & easy to drink, but unlikely to impress, in my opinion. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a budget whiskey?

If you like something light & easy to drink, this might be for you. For a cheap drink, it's not bad. If you want something with more flavour & impact, this will disappoint.

Great
Best Irish whiskey. Looking at these reviews!!! Very questionable as Paddy’s whiskey is bargain basement here in Ireland.
