Bunnahabhain 11 Discovery

11 year old Bunnahabhain, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for the Discovery range. This series places whiskies into three flavour categories ('Sherried' 'Smoky' and 'Bourbon') to make it easy to find a whisky you might enjoy. This one sits in the 'Sherried' category.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Clove-studded orange, butterscotch and nutmeg.

Palate Cinnamon, drying barley with a hint of hops, yellow plum and sultana.

Finish Caramelised nuts and more dried fruit.

Reviews for Bunnahabhain 11 Year Old - Discovery (Gordon & MacPhail)
Great alternative to standard 12 year old
Great depth of flavour, very enjoyable and a much better proposition than the standard 12 year old bottling in my opinion. The tasting notes by Master of Malt are pretty much spot on.

Not the greatest...
Buy the official 12 year bottling. Higher abv, cheaper and another year in the cask. This is underwhelming. Ralfy says so too.

Does not disappoint.
Was recommended this by the local whisky shop. Smooth, deep with a sweet edge. Just don’t drink it all at once.

Lovely
Went to a whisky tasting night and absolutely loved this whisky we had a vote amongst approximately 100 people and it came out the best amongst 7 different whiskies

Simply Wonderful
Wow! Just wow. The best non-peated whisky I have ever tried. Orangey, toffee and vanilla flavours with a really nice edge. Soft on the nose, rich on the tongue and a sublime finish
