Bunnahabhain 15 Year Old (cask 3058) Rum Cask Finish - Cask Collection (A.D Rattray)
A 15 Year Old Bunnahabhain which has been independently bottled by A.D. Rattray! The single malt spent its first years in a bourbon hogshead before it was treated to a finish in an octave which was made out of staves from casks which previously housed some tasty rum! It's bottled at cask strength, and the rum cask imparted lots of tropical fruit and spicy notes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fragrant honey sweetness builds into toffee, warming spices and lots of ripe tropical fruit notes.
Palate
Heat from black peppery and root ginger, balanced by candied citrus, brown sugar and tangy pineapple.
Finish
Fruity and spicy notes from the rum linger alongside buttery toffee and fresh fruit.
