A heavily peated single malt from Islay's Bunnahabhain Distillery, which is known for mostly making unpeated whisky. As such, this one was released under the Staoisha name – y'know, so you know what you're in for. It was distilled in 2013 and aged in a pair of decharred and recharred hogsheads for eight years, before being bottled up by Signatory for the Un-Chilfiltered Collection range.
Woody smoke with a smidge of ash, followed by sweeter hints of caramelised nuts.
Fruitier on the palate with mango and pineapple, followed by slightly singed biscuits and earthy peat.
A long, peppery, smoky finish.

Absolutely stunning dram ... once it opened up, needs time. Wonderful smoky fruity Bunna ... more please!
