A rather delicious-sounding single malt from the Bunnahabhain Distillery, independently bottled by Wemyss Malts. This one was distilled back in 1988 and left to age in a single hogshead cask until 2018, when it was bottled up at 47.5% ABV. 218 bottles were produced, and the whisky was given the name Orange Baked Oatmeal, as a hint towards its flavour profile.
Toasted oats, hints of sea spray and salted crackers, apricot pastries.
Oak rich at first, before helpings of dried fruit and peeled develop. An enjoyable dusty/earthy hint to it.
Toasted almond, jammy orange and ground nutmeg.
