Bunnahabhain
Scotland
Single Malt
Mòine is a showcase of Bunnahabhain's single malt Scotch whisky with a characteristically Islay-esque helping of peat at its core. While Bunnahabhain is one of the few distilleries on the island that produced unpeated malts, they have more than enough practice putting together peated expressions - and here's the proof!
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Fried banana, burnt sugar, engine oil and coastal air.
Freshly sliced green apple, black liquorice, smoked kippers and fudge.
Iodine, menthol and cooking spices.
Well, for me its a new friend in my shelf, i would guess its not so old, it feels like its allover tha place, very pleasant smoke, a freshness in the dark somewhere far back, licorice, green apples, ash, n sweet smoke. Very nice indeed. Well done Bunnahabhain.
There is that unique character of Bunna with delicious peat and smoke, this is definitely a quality whisky.
Very good dram, I got the fried banana on the nose, it's super smokey but delicate on the palate. A nice change of direction to what appears to be a new addition to the core range of Bunnahabhain.
Thiago whisky exists in Sweden since 2 years att the price of around 40$ 70cl. Thus is a great whisky with notmuch smoke bit a smooth liquid taste of butter and peat all in a complex taste. Great whisky, i just bought My second bottle!
