Bunnahabhain
Scotland
Single Malt
Bunnahabhain's Eirigh Na Greine was originally released for the Travel Retail market, with its name meaning 'Morning Sky' in Gaelic. A portion of this single malt was matured in red wine casks, resulting in juicy berry notes throughout, blending well with the wafts of sea salt and orchard fruit.
Toasted sugar, vanilla, raspberries and a little honey.
Apricot, sea salt, black pepper, more wine cask-influence berry sweetness.
Smoky and quite long. A little bit spicy, too.
I think this is the smoothest whisky I have had in a long time. Bought on a whim at the duty free whisky bar in South Africa.
This is the worst Bunnahabhain i tasted. I think it's a very young whisky, alcoholic and light in flavours. And i tried to buy for more than a year until i get it, so, it was a great deception. Sorry about that, but is my opinion.
This might just be the richest Scotch I've ever tasted.... I'm dumbfounded by it's deliciousness.
Drinking this scotch last night at Scott Base, Antarctica with great friends. Excellent scotch!
Smooth as silk. It's a whisky that will be appreciated by anyone and everyone.
