This eight-year-old peated Bunnahabhain single malt joins The Octave collection from independent bottler Duncan Taylor. Distilled in 2014, the whisky matured in a single sherry cask until 2023, when it was opened up to yield a total outturn of 673 bottles.
Hearty helpings of sherry and peat, with poached stone fruits, cakey spice, and waves of salty, coastal smoke.
Dark chocolate with a touch of rock salt, juicy sultanas, jammy berries, and smoked almonds.
Drying smoke lingers, with juicy roasted barley, dried fruits, candied nuts, and woody spice.
