Has there ever been a moment when you've been sipping Bulleit Bourbon and wanted it to have even more rye? Well you're in luck, they now have their own Rye whiskey! Bulleit Rye is made with a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and is produced in small batches. An absolutely stunning rye that won a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
Big heaps of cherries and vanilla, with subtle notes of leather and tobacco.
Rather hot at first, the spices coming to the forefront. This is followed by peaches, more cherries and a little bit of orange zest.
A smoky finish, carried by cinnamon, allspice and a hint of sweeties.
The Bulleit distillery sure know their way around a rye whiskey.

It grew on me as I drank more of it, still tastes a bit like corn bourbon but I get the nice spices on the finish. It's hot on the entry for sure and I've had ryes I enjoyed more than this one, but its ok.
Grassy green on the nose kind of bourbon in the background. Very pleasant for rye bite is delivered gradually not straight into your face. Syrupy sweet at first as well, in my opinion better than its Bullit bourbon brother. Fantastic sipper (rye, can you imagine it?) Well balanced, recommended!
I am giving up Jim Beam and bourbon all together. This is definitely a rye whiskey not a bourbon. Love it it's very smooth and Over Ice is very nice.
It's become my staple rye. I had my doubts, but it is smooth and is a rye.
I'm a Rye fan. I've tried almost every Rye at the liquor store and spotted this one above Jim Beam's prohibition Rye. I'll say it's easy to sip and leaves a small aftertaste on your tongue. Priced right at $24-25 dollars.
