Has there ever been a moment when you've been sipping Bulleit Bourbon and wanted it to have even more rye? Well you're in luck, they now have their own Rye whiskey! Bulleit Rye is made with a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and is produced in small batches. An absolutely stunning rye that won a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
Big heaps of cherries and vanilla, with subtle notes of leather and tobacco.
Rather hot at first, the spices coming to the forefront. This is followed by peaches, more cherries and a little bit of orange zest.
A smoky finish, carried by cinnamon, allspice and a hint of sweeties.
The Bulleit distillery sure know their way around a rye whiskey.

I was really wanting to enjoy this, I really was. Great spice heat but way too floral to the of being sickly. Good long warm finish though. The bourbon orange label with citrus and cinnamon tones while still carrying some reasonable spice is much more pleasing.
Great rye that makes a very nice Manhattan, sips good straight as well. A very nice drink to go with my cigars. I've had better rye whiskey, but for the price you can't beat it! Well done.
Strong skunky bourbon flavor. Not suited to an old fashioned. Smells like jim beam
Well, I’m Australian and only drink Scotch usually, but this is AOK. Thank you Mr Bulleit
My local state store sells this for ~$25. At even money, I’d choose this over a lot of higher-tiered brands....richly spiced, drier than a bourbon, it makes a great Manhattan. There are ryes I like better—but at 2-3 times the price, I don’t like them 2-3 times more. Bulleit Rye punches well above its weight. A “Best Buy.”
