Bulleit Bourbon Bottling Note

Enjoy Bulleit Bourbon like the Americans do! Previously it has been bottled at 40% abv for the UK market, but now you can get the Frontier Whiskey at 45% abv, just like they have in Kentucky. A stunning bourbon that won a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2012.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Bright with orange zest, toasted oak and vanilla.

Palate: Further orange notes, followed by some warming winter spices and a hint of tobacco leaf.

Finish: Smooth and spicy.

Overall: A new style of Bulleit (at least for us), but it's still as brilliant as ever!

Bulleit Bourbon Reviews

Straight out of the freezer 👌

A Great Buy!

For the cash this is probably the best bourbon I've tried. It has a kick to it but no real alcohol burn like really cheap spirits usually have. Smooth enough to sip on but mixes well too.
I've read that bottles can be a bit inconsistent in terms of bottling strength and taste, but the two times I've had it it has been great. Well worth trying a bottle.

It's OK, but if it was 40 quid you wouldn't buy it. Fact.

Not doing it for me. It's OK. But that's mostly due to the fact it's about 25 quid.

Good stuff

Easy to drink and easy on the wallet. This is a good entry level bourbon, that for me, never disappoints. Solid on the rocks or in an old fashioned.

More like a really harsh whisky than a bourbon compared to those I have tried. I couldn't even drink the whole double. Worst yet in my opinion. Mainly harsh first and last impressions with a kind of spice to it. Disgusting

Good but a bit inconsistent between batches.

I tend to like Bulleit quite a bit, it's a drinkable bourbon with a generally pleasant, relatively mild taste. It seems that batches may be a bit inconsistent, as I'll occasionally get a bottle that's pretty abrasive. Overall though, I'll buy Bulleit again.

Good taste.

My very first bourbon

My very first and always-in-stock one. Drinking on rock is good, but better for whisky based cocktails like whisky sour or smashed whisky

Growing on me

I’ll admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of Bulleit when I first tried it. It’s got some rich flavor but I thought it was a bit overbearing and burned my mouth a bit. But I went to an affair where it was the only whiskey available and it wasn’t as harsh as I remembered. Coincidentally I was given a small bottle about a week or two later and after having a bit more, it’s growing on me.

Nose: Citrus and spice (almost clove like or ginger)

Palate: Orange and spice, rich (almost as if you can feel the dark amber color)

Finish: Very spicy, decent amount of burn
