Enjoy Bulleit Bourbon like the Americans do! Previously it has been bottled at 40% ABV for the UK market, but now you can get the Frontier Whiskey at 45% ABV, just like they have in Kentucky. A stunning whiskey that won a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2012.
Give this a go in a smashing Mint Julep cocktail following the recipe below!
60ml Bulleit Bourbon
20ml Simple syrup (1 part sugar to 1 part water)
8-10 mint leaves, and three mint sprigs.
Pack a julep cup with crushed ice so it can start getting nice and cold. In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, syrup, and mint leaves. Use a muddler to lightly bruise the leaves in the glass to release their flavour, then strain the contents into your julep cup. Garnish with three nice big sprigs of mint, (give them a little pat first, to release their minty aromas!) – then stick a straw in close by.
Bright with orange zest, toasted oak and vanilla.
Further orange notes, followed by some warming winter spices and a hint of tobacco leaf.
Smooth and spicy.

Great wee drink
Iv only sampled a few different bourbons but this one stands out. A lovely drink.
Don't stop your Bourbon journey at Bulleit. It's fine, but there are better bourbons. I recommend you try Four Roses Single Barrel next. And if you want to get adventurous, try rye. I recommend Rittenhouse 100 Proof. In American whiskey, rye is to bourbon what Islay is to Speyside.
I am no Bourbon aficionado, by any means. I tried Bulleit at the local bar and was simply blown away and immediately bought a bottle for home. The different elements of the taste are so complex, I can't begin to describe it all. It's fantastic over ice and has a drink-ability that's almost dangerous. This will always be on my shelf. JD is good but this is far more interesting - the complexity of the flavors and how they fit well together is quite impressive. I think I "get" bourbon now...
Delicious, smooth. Not too firey, vanilla and blackcurrant, easy to drink straight. Much better than JD, Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey, Maker's Mark... my new favourite.
