Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon for the eponymous distillery made from corn, rye and malted barley. It’s aged in new oak barrels in historic old warehouses. The award-winning bourbon is batched from no more than 40 barrels at a time, and is aged on the middle floors of the distillery warehouses where the temperature fluctuation is the greatest. A top whiskey, with oodles of vanilla, barrel char and spicy complexity.
Spicy and sweet with caramel, creamy toffee eclairs, hints of cinnamon, rum spice and cereal sweetness.
Brown sugar, toffee apple, sweet oak, custard, oily espresso beans, a touch of chocolate-covered raisins and toasty wood.
Good length with sweet spices, cinnamon gum and toffee.

Very smooth and was enjoyable
I agree with the last review, the recent production is definitely inferior to prior batches. I hope this gets corrected as I was absolutely hooked until now.
I've enjoyed 4 bottles of this stuff over the last 6 months and the last bottle I purchased was a unpleasant surprise. This was my go to hooch with a very good sale price, up until the last batch which is either a mistake with the quality control department or a sign of things to come. I am gonna give this stuff a rest until Ive searched a bit more because this really hurt my feelings and taste buds and throat and stomach!! Seriously this stuff tastes like it has been cut with rubbing alcohol and battery acid compared to the first 4 bottles I had. Also it gives me a nasty hangover now, which the other 4 never did. Hate to give a bad review but I recommended this stuff so much that I have to make amends for this embarrassment that friends might purchase. Hopefully they get it together. Keep bourbon my friends!
This not the best Whiskey I have ever tasted but pound for Pound (£20) it is the best value. At £20 you usually get an average blended Scotch. The best being Famous Grouse. This smashes it out of the park for complex flavours, slightly rough at first, but the after taste has a smooth and sweet flavour. It is pleasing on the nose as well as the tongue and stomach. A GREAT bourbon whisky and well worth £20. Well done. Years better than similar brands at that price.
Quality drink for a reasonable price, great flavours, spicy, honey, fruitcake, very, very nice drink indeed.
