Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon for the eponymous distillery made from corn, rye and malted barley. It’s aged in new oak barrels in historic old warehouses. The award-winning bourbon is batched from no more than 40 barrels at a time, and is aged on the middle floors of the distillery warehouses where the temperature fluctuation is the greatest. A top whiskey, with oodles of vanilla, barrel char and spicy complexity.
Spicy and sweet with caramel, creamy toffee eclairs, hints of cinnamon, rum spice and cereal sweetness.
Brown sugar, toffee apple, sweet oak, custard, oily espresso beans, a touch of chocolate-covered raisins and toasty wood.
Good length with sweet spices, cinnamon gum and toffee.

I don't know what they did recently but they have watered it down to nothing. It was so good. Now like Bourbon and water
Excellent Price, the nose had a floral vanilla scent that promises greatness. On taste it's sadly a bit simple, some initial cream, vanilla sweetness and a wood taste but that's it. Nice on the front tastebuds, nothing in the middle, and a slight pepper burn at the end. A short aftertaste thereafter. The burn goes away with the slightest addition of water but leaves you ever searching for the flavour the nose so sweetly promises. Needs to go through another barrel such as Sherry or Cabernet Sauvignon to add the needed complexity.
Smooth. Keep an extra on hand so I never run out.
At first I thought this would be a great American experience. One that would leave a lasting impression of what it is to "live on the wildside" in my considerable head. Little did I know that the first and only feeling I can truly describe is of an injection needle filled with mineral terps, being emptied inside de top back of my delicate throat. The aftertaste reminded me of just walking into a freshly painted dining room. What a product. I love it.
