Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon for the eponymous distillery made from corn, rye and malted barley. It’s aged in new oak barrels in historic old warehouses. The award-winning bourbon is batched from no more than 40 barrels at a time, and is aged on the middle floors of the distillery warehouses where the temperature fluctuation is the greatest. A top whiskey, with oodles of vanilla, barrel char and spicy complexity.
Spicy and sweet with caramel, creamy toffee eclairs, hints of cinnamon, rum spice and cereal sweetness.
Brown sugar, toffee apple, sweet oak, custard, oily espresso beans, a touch of chocolate-covered raisins and toasty wood.
Good length with sweet spices, cinnamon gum and toffee.

I'm a fan of all whisky and it's taken me a while to move into the realms of bourbon, but I must say, I wish I had earlier. This is delightful, if anyone hasn't tried bourbon yet, possibly put off by weak versions they've tried in the past. I'd strongly suggest this. It's very similar to green bottle. As a whisky fan, buffalo trace has brought that excitement back! I can't wait to delve a little deeper into American whiskey. It's smooth, full of flavour, not as complexed as Scottish malt but not to be overlooked. At the price, you could do a hang of a lot worse.
It's an ok bourbon that's all. After tasting Makers Mark Straight Bourbon this is just a faint memory to the full potential of a bourbon.
I came to Buffalo Trace at a tasting and my local hostelry had a bottle brought in. It didn't last long enough. A new Manager and a new bottle. It's going the same way as the first. BT invites one to it's warm, encompasing world. It doesn't treat you ill. Smooth, not over powering but still full bodied. A true classic.
Sweet, warm, and inviting mix of dried-fruit and grain flavors. Mixes well, tastes great neat. Best £20 you'll ever spend on a bottle of booze.
Had a bottle bought for me for my birthday last Thursday (1st).I was amazed how well this tasted, I would buy this again in a heartbeat great bourbon.
