Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon for the eponymous distillery made from corn, rye and malted barley. It’s aged in new oak barrels in historic old warehouses. The award-winning bourbon is batched from no more than 40 barrels at a time, and is aged on the middle floors of the distillery warehouses where the temperature fluctuation is the greatest. A top whiskey, with oodles of vanilla, barrel char and spicy complexity.
Spicy and sweet with caramel, creamy toffee eclairs, hints of cinnamon, rum spice and cereal sweetness.
Brown sugar, toffee apple, sweet oak, custard, oily espresso beans, a touch of chocolate-covered raisins and toasty wood.
Good length with sweet spices, cinnamon gum and toffee.

Its got more zing than others in the price range. Good mid range whiskey. Will for sure get again.
I'm not a big fan of whiskey or bourbon, but when I moved into my new house, my landlord left a bottle of Buffalo Trace bourbon as a housewarming gift. Not having any mixers available, and since I do not like any kind of drink neat, I tried it on the rocks. It was wonderful! The ice diluted it enough so that it wasn't harsh going down, and it had a great sweet flavor. This is the one bourbon I would definitely buy again.
stay home and drink sherry, losers
Can appreciate that this is low end, cheap stuff but the nose/palate profile described on this site made it sound like the perfect bourbon for me, ticking all my boxes. However, to taste this either neat, iced or even with coke I failed to enjoy it at all. I'm no expert (of course) but it has an unpleasant chemically bitterness, as if someone has washed the glass with fairy liquid and not rinsed it out properly. I honestly enjoy plain old Jack Daniels over this for £20.
At 40% don't bother. At 45% It is a gem.
