A legend from Islay, Port Charlotte is the peated offering from the Bruichladdich distillery. This extremely limited batch joins the range from indie bottler Forgotten Gems. Matured for 13 years, a release of 33 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Peaty richness leads, earthy and vegetal, with salty smoke and burnt heather. There are sweeter notes beneath, with cooked fruit, roasted nuts, and honeyed meat.

Palate

Big waves of medicinal peat are backed by sweeter notes of floral tea, dried cherry, and oaken vanilla. Meaty malt adds a robust depth to it all.

Finish

Things tail off gently, with sooty smoke, toasted nuts, and burnt salted caramel.
