Yummy peaty single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled under the Port Charlotte name by The Bottlers. This whisky was distilled in December 2001 and allowed to age in a refill Bourbon hogshead for 13 years, until it was bottled at cask strength in September 2015.
Flamed orange peel, fresh pineapple, tarmac and spiced oak.
Vegetal and rich, with generous waves of smoke all the way through. A hint of rhubarb crumble and custard hides in the background.
A long finish featuring notes of white pepper, tobacco and pear.
