Octomore Masterclass_08.2 Bottling Note

An Octomore single malt from Bruichladdich which was originally released for the Travel Retail market. This heavily peated expression was aged for 8 years, though it wasn't just a simple one cask style maturation - the first 6 years were in one of three types of wine cask (French Mourvedre, Austrian sweet wine or French Sauternes).

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fennel, smoky black tea, redcurrants dusted with ground ginger and cinnamon, a touch of floral barley.

Palate: Red fruit notes still dominate, but the classic peat heat build and builds on the palate.

Finish: Oily walnut, strawberry, bonfire embers.

Power and fat peat

really top these octomore. The more we drink and the harder it is to return to whiskeys less tourb & # 233; s who have yet an excellent reputation.
This one is really nice: an invasive nose of peat, it arrives with power from the first gorg & # 233; e (peat fat) to slide to notes of red fruits and nuts
After the tasting the peat remains very long collé at the palace, certainly the result of the combination of the 58 & # 39; and 167 ppm of this elixir
