Smoky single malt from the shores of Islay here, independently bottled by Italy's Hidden Spirits. It's a Lochindaal whisky, which is one of the names Bruichladdich uses for it peated single malt (specifically, more peated than Port Charlotte, but not as peated as Octomore – it's also not seen all that often). This one was aged for 11 years, from 2009 to 2021.
Root ginger, biscuit dough, sea shells, and ripe red apples.
Still enjoyably coastal, with a hint of singed grass in there too. A dusting of nutmeg and brown sugar.
Filo pastry, sea salt, iced buns.
