A rare example of Bruichladdich's Lochindaal single malt! The distillery on Islay produces whiskies with varying levels of peatiness, and has different names for each – Lochindaal is peatier than Port Charlotte, but not quite as peaty as Octomore. This right here is an indie bottling from Berry Bros. & Rudd, which was distilled in 2010 and bottled up at cask strength after 10 years. 225 bottles were produced.
Seaweed and a touch of struck match, with enough vanilla and orange peel to balance it.
Charred oak, camphor, liquorice, apricot, lemon, brioche, and Toffee Crisp bars.
Lasting spiciness of cedar and ash, with a hint of citrus remaining.
