One of two Bruichladdich single malts released in mid-2015 as part of the Darkness! range. This one was treated to a finishing period in a specially coopered, 50-litre oloroso sherry cask. The resulting massive sherry influence has spread to every corner of this Islay dram - an exceptional sherry monster.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honeyed tobacco and antique furniture with deep, nutty raisin notes in support. Delightfully spiced and rounded.
Palate
Oh boy, that’s what we’re here for. A huge, intense, dark Sherry hit, those nutty raisins have jumped out of the glass and punched you right in the face!
Finish
Sweet relief, with delicious espresso dipped dates.
