Bruichladdich The Organic 2010
It's the 2010 vintage of Bruichladdich's The Organic expression, distilled exclusively with organic barley from Mid Coul, near Inverness. The liquid was matured on Islay in American oak casks which previously housed bourbon, until it was bottled at 50% ABV after it was organically certified by the Biodynamic Association!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Loads of fresh malt, with lemon curd, toasted marshmallow, tropical fruit and floral heathy alongside buttery pear tart.
Palate
Butterscotch, barley sugar, boiled apple sweeties, chocolate, macaroon, freshly baked bread and spicy oak.
Finish
Oak char and orange chocolate alongside a maritime finish with a touch of salt.
