Created by Jim McEwan from whisky matured in American oak casks alongside Lochindaal, and chosen to represent the classic, unpeated distillery style. Bruichladdich's new signature bottling is made with 100% Scottish barley.
Nose: Elegantly sweet with honey'd barley, boiled sweets and orange petals. Wafts of sea air.
Palate: Red apples and white grapes, with touches of sweet cinnamon and brown sugar. Still softly coastal.
Finish: Mineral-rich malt, with toffee and more honey.

I get apricot and lots of honey. Nothing too aggressive - you could drink it every day. Fantastic whisky.

Nose: Time is required to split the alcohol. Clean beautifully balanced fruit. Palate: There is some youth in this non ruled palate. Fight past it and what remains is a not unpleasant listlessness that peters nowhere and everywhere. After: Little to say.

My bottle is excellent..there is a code on the back you can enter on their website and find out about your batch. It is not meant to be the same batch after batch...go get a johnny walker if you want that...Mine had 8 year as the youngest used 11 different cask types and is a delicious product..non chill filtered..no coloring added...no wonder one review was upset it was so young due to color...he only drinks the cold filtered dyed crap...I love the 50% ABV...can add a touch of water if you prefer or an ice cube..What is great about it is you can try a non peated Islay and then compare it to a peated Islay and smell and taste notes you thought were peat but are actually not peat at all...the sea air...something...not peat..Next, I am buying Port Charlotte..Cheers from Cambodia

It appears the 2016-17 reviews were not keen but since then things have improved. Is the whisky genuinely better now or are the reviewers a different?(I do like this whisky btw, and the Port Charlotte 10 is very good too)

Dancing complexity on the palate with sweetness and satisfying finish. Sipped this all afternoon by a fire and never was wanting a peated malt. Now one of my favorites. —a long time lover of single malts who lived in Scotland.

We had never heard of Bruichladdich until we watched the "Scotch: The Golden Dream" documentary on a long airline flight. Months later it appeared on the drink menu at Richard's fine restaurant in Boise, Idaho. The first sip sold us on our new favorite single malt. We bought what may have been the last bottle in the state, and relished every last drop. Don't know what the obstacle is to shipping to us here in the colonies, but we eagerly await its resolution. Truly, nectar of the gods.

If you are reading reviews to anticipate your own experience - STOP. Errrbody is different (until you find that one reviewer you connect with). I also smell the barley on the nose, and enjoy some vanilla and spice as it goes down, very smooth to begin with. But the finish is so jagged and bitter that I’m left with a feeling that completely erases my warm first impression.

I’m a 50%er. I love Laphroaig Lore. I mean LOVE it. But this is testing all my powers of loyalty.

It feels so smooth and tasty that in my limited opinion regards whisky it is the number 1 for me and will remain so ... A superb product ..
