Bruichladdich 28 Year Old 1990 (Master of Malt) (48.4%)
Bruichladdich fans will be as excited as us by this impressive 28-year-old single malt! Distilled in 1990, the whisky was treated to a finishing period in an ex-Rivesaltes cask before being disgorged in 2019. The sweet wine cask has introduced heaps of satisfying dark fruit and patisserie character to the robust malt at its core. This release includes just 42 bottles, joining our own independent bottling collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Berries and cherries dipped in dark chocolate bring suggestions of jam tarts and baked goods, with roasted malt and gently toasted oak in the backdrop.
Palate
Spiced mocha, robust and roasty, with caramelised fruit in tow. Hearty oak brings peppery warmth coupled with soft vanilla fudge.
Finish
Forest fruits return with jammy sweetness to balance bittersweet cacao, flashes of ginger, and clove.
