The very first 10-year-old single malt to be wholly distilled, aged, and bottled following Bruichladdich's resurrection in 2001. A true milestone bottling, and a splendid collectible.

Wonderful vanilla and custard notes from the oak balanced with delicious malt followed by a slightly dry Islay finish. One of my favourite Islay malts and no peat in sight. Goes far beyond the reputation of the distillery.
The Laddie Ten strikes THE balance for me when it comes to Scotch Whisky. It is fresh but not young. It gives that seaside thing without all the smoke. I LOVE the Laddie 10. I bet they don't get much better with age. Just my 2 cents worth.
There's no bigger a turn off than reading pompous dreck written by self-ordained sophisticates. These people, who have enough money to gobble up $3,000 bottles of 1976 Ardbeg and flaunt it over others, are like well-heeled skunks ruining the picnic for everyone else. It's the kind of thing that'll drive me to drink.
I totally agree with the author of 'Secondary Education' above. Whiskies like most of the finer things in life ARE best appreciated by a more learned and sophisticated person. There are many so called reviewers on this and other sites who simply do not understand or can appreciate the many nuances of single malts. It is not their fault and no blame is attached to them and of course they are perfectly free to buy anything of their choosing. But really leave the reviews to the more knowledgeable and educated people.
