Wood smoke, maraschino. Toasty. Hot, buttery croissant, smoke. Grapey, peat.
Balanced. Toasty and spicy, lots of oak, fruity with a good slab of peat. Quinine.
Long, well peated now, whirls of smoke, touch of fruit, cardamom, ginger.
I received a bottle for my birthday four years ago. It is like Laphroaig to the power of 10. Wonderful. Now priced beyond my purse or that of my children.
