Brora 35 Year Old 1977 (2013 Special Release)

Brora 35 Year Old 1977 Bottling Note

Distilled in 1977, this extraordinary 35 year old Brora from Diageo's Special Releases was matured in American and European oak casks. It's the twelfth annual release of this irreplaceable single malt, from a distillery that closed back in 1983! Although little stock remains, this is a real good'un nonetheless! A proper, smoky Brora to get the fans salivating. 2,944 bottles have been released but won't be available from retailers for long!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Initial apple sherbet gives way to thick custard, waxiness and then apricot wheats.

Palate: Sooty and Sweep sweet, touch of dried seaweed, a proper Brora this is.

Finish: Some beach bonfire near grass covered dunes.

Overall: If you’re looking for your Brora to be a little filthy and smoky, rather than a Clynelish on steroids, then this is one for you.

Very special! Has a juniper berry nose and quite a charcoal finish. Love it.
