Brora 1982-2008 Bottling Note

A 26 year old from the Connoisseur's Choice range. This bottling was matured in refill sherry casks and bottled in 2008 exhibiting the typical Brora style; though a Northern Highland malt, it has a certain Islay character.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite soft, some mixed peel and winter spice and a peat note. The palate is of medium-body, creamy butter and soft oak smooth the mouth feel with dark notes of fruit and a floral element. There is a gentle peat which develops a little with raisins and subtle toffee sweetness. Whirls of smoke move throughout. The finish is soft and of medium-length with trailing smoke and dried fruits.

Brora 1982 (bottled 2008) - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) Reviews

Sipping some now!

Saw this on the top shelf at a hotel I'm staying in. This is a gorgeous dram, and so smooth. Shame it's sold out, although I also love the Balblair 1989.
