From Ziegler Distillery in Germany comes its first whisky, Freud Whisky Distillers Cut. This pot still malt whisky matured in a combination of chestnut casks and bourbon barrels, before spending some time in Ziegler's Old Plum brandy kegs. An intriguing and approachable first release, showing exciting signs of things to come.

Nose
Floral honey, candied orange peel, dried prunes, and allspice.
Palate
Apples, with caramelised nuts, creamy malt, oaky spice, and a hint of smoke.
Finish
Aromatic plum, toasted oak, and baking spices.
