Braeval 16 Year Old 2010 (Tri Carragh) 70cl Whisky

A particularly punchy single cask Braeval from independent bottler Tri Carragh. Distilled on 2 February 2010, the Speyside single malt matured for 16 years, including a seven-month finish in a second-fill red wine octave.

The tiny cask brought the whisky into plenty of contact with the oak during its finishing period, but the second-fill wood should stop the wine influence from dominating. It was bottled at a formidable 62.7% ABV, with just 92 bottles released.
