Belgian single grain whisky from the Braeckman distillery, initially matured for 11 years in bourbon casks, before being treated to a two-year finish in an oloroso sherry cask. A good dose of rye in the mix ensures some hearty spice to be found in this cask strength expression, while you can expect generous layers of oaken vanilla and candied fruit imparted by the casks.
Dates and prunes, chocolate raisins, and sherried fruit cake.
Toasted almonds, vanilla custard, candied fruits, and cacao.
The dark chocolate lingers alongside fruited tea loaf and cracked pepper spice.
