Royal Brackla 23 Year Old Tokaji Finish
This Highland single malt from Royal Brackla, released as part of the Exceptional Cask series, was distilled in 2000 and matured for 23 years, including more than two years in a cask that previously held luscious Tokaji dessert wine. Expect waves of stone fruit, honeyed sweetness, and rich pastry notes wrapped around Brackla’s naturally elegant spirit. Royal Brackla 23 Year Old Tokaji Finish was bottled at a cask strength of 53.3% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with no added colour, with an outturn of just 258 bottles from cask #500005.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apricot Danish pastries, peach syrup, toasted almonds, and acacia honey, with soft coconut cream and candied orange peel underneath.
Palate
Silky layers of ripe nectarine, frangipane, and vanilla custard, followed by buttery oak, golden raisin, and warming baking spice.
Finish
Honeycomb, white chocolate, and a touch of oak spice.
