Tempest is a very special release from Bowmore, it’s a cask strength malt made by vatting first-fill bourbon matured whisky. Very rich and complex.

Lots of fruit, nectarine, citrus, pear. Good peaty backbone with a hint of the coast. Fresh.
Very fruity, peaty and rich. Cereal sweetness, complex. Smoky, coastal.
Long, fresh, tangy, salty.
Hoped for a strong aroma Islay and get a calvados. Big apple in the face with just a tiny smokey note. A bit of peaty smoke in the palate but fastly transposed with the fruit arrival. If you're looking for the true Islay, that IS NOT what it seems.
