Bowmore No.1 is produced using single malt Scotch whisky drawn exclusively from first-fill bourbon casks, imparting a creamy sweetness which blends well with the robust Islay smoke that Bowmore is known for.
Nutella on brown bread, sea salt and a hint of lemon zest.
Vanilla notes are up front and sweet (though earthy vanilla pod does appear after a minute). Plenty of coastal peat smoke.
Lingering smokiness.

An new whisky with complex notes of vanilla, citrus and hints of smoke. For the price, it has become my go to daily dram. Cheers.
A pleasant surprise - a great whisky with a good balance of flavours. Yes it’s NAS, but at this price point it’s inevitable perhaps these days - but this is a good well-rounded whisky and a cut above the rest and with simple strong understated branding in contrast to some of the nonsense elsewhere.
Bitter and synthetic tasting
Probably my favourite Whisky so far. I keep buying new Whisky but ultimately still end up back on this one.
Vile liquor should be offered to the drain. Absolutely no redeeming factors. Do yourself a favour with a Bushmills or a Jameson
