Bowmore 25 Year Old 70cl Whisky

“My wife/mother in-law bought this amazing whisky for me this Christmas. When I poured my small taster, I have to agree with 'The Chaps' on the tasting notes--spot on! I was only disappointed in the smokiness of this dram; it's very nice on the nose, but not so noticeable on the palate. Having many different samples of Bowmore (my favorite probably being the 17yr White Sands), I expected a stronger peat flavor. Really, I didn't take into consideration the 'barrel' flavor being more potent than the peat, which is consistent with a well-aged release. The alcohol is not very noticeable either, but that's typical of a quality whisky anyway. 10/10 for sure after my two small tastings!”
