25 year old single malt from the Bowmore dstillery on Islay, bottled by Italian bottler, Silver Seal, as part of their wonderfully named Whisky is Class...ical range (a name that makes you shiver with antici...pation). It was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2016, with a label celebrating Ruggero Leoncavallo's opera, Pagliacci. A release of 183 bottles.
Floral and sweet at first, though soon followed by a kick of coastal peat.
Chewy toffee and burst rye bread. Hints of seaweed, lime and coriander.
Long and very slightly chocolatey.
