Description

One of a trio of whiskies released by the legendary Bowmore distillery on the Isle of Islay, showing off how wine-cask finishes interact with its smoky, coastal single malt. The 18-year-old expression began maturing in bourbon barrels for 13 years before transferring to casks that previously held manzanilla sherry for the remaining five years.

This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Nose

Smoky molasses, spiced orange and mulled wine. A touch sea air sticks around.

Palate

Thick and rich with plenty of dried fruit and robust peat smoke. Slightly herbaceous at points, too.

Finish

Citrus oil remains on the finish.
