A 17 year old Bowmore with a beautifully balanced, rounded palate with notes of soft chocolate, toffee apples and a little wood smoke. This was a Gold Medal winner at the International Spirits Challenge.

Gently smoked with soft peat, Golden Syrup, rum spice, toffee apples and tropical fruit.
Creamy and malty, cinnamon, toffee apples, bread and butter pudding and warming smoke.
Long and creamy with a smooth vanilla note on the tail.
The best
Incredible whisky, picked up for under 50 GBP, nose, freshly made toffee, slight sulphur turning to burnt toast, oak smoke. Palate; apple,Mint, berries, slight tar, honey. sliky smooth finish.
Toffee and pineapple with artistically subtle smoke. The aroma also adds hazelnut chocolate, whereas the palate adds lemon cake and honey. Marvelously balanced: the best and most complex "light malt" I've had.
Many folks with whom I drink are shy of the Islay malts, having been startled by a lesser, possibly heavy peat. I would suggest this as a great introduction to the peaty malts of the region. It is wonderfully smooth and stays warm and silken throughout the drink. This was a gift from my wife who knows I enjoy the malts of this region...and what a great surprise it was. Slowly, oh so slowly it will be consumed as I suspect it will disappear into history.
Bottles of this are sitting in duty free stores in Asia.
