A fab Bowmore single malt here from The Character of Islay Whisky Company's very own indie bottling range, The Stories of Wind & Wave. Showing off the excellent whiskies of Islay is what this series is all about, and that's exactly what's happening here. It's a 16 year old single cask expression, matured in a refill bourbon barrel before being bottled at cask strength.

Nose
Milky coffee, sea spray, leafy herbs and Victoria sponge cake.
Palate
Vanilla ice-cream with salted caramel sauce, grilled fruit and fresh barley.
Finish
Softly smoky, with cut grass in the background.
