Originally released for travel retail, Bowmore 15 Year Old Golden & Elegant - Aston Martin Edition #8 continues the partnership the two iconic brands have enjoyed recently. This particular Islay single malt Scotch whisky was aged in first-fill bourbon casks and hogsheads and then bottled at 43% ABV.

Silky citrus, salty-sweet vanilla and honeycomb.
Peat smoke, sweet almond and lingering lemon.
I have tried the 10 year which is a little harsh for me, so when I saw this thought I would buy a bottle. Cracked it open and what a delight. It really is golden and elegant and a lot smoother than the 10 YO. I bought myself 2 bottles. A great whisky.
I'm not fan of Bowmore. I bought a bottle of Aston Martin 10 year old and after that I had to try 15 year old. This is definitely better. Slihtly smokey, with touch of almonds and toffee. A bit dry finish.
