Booker's True Barrel Bourbon, named after Booker Noe, Jim Beam's grandson and former Master Distiller, was first released in 1992. A small batch straight Kentucky bourbon, each batch is generously matured and bottled at cask strength, resulting in rich, full-bodied whiskey. Perhaps a drop of water or two wouldn't go amiss with this intense expression.

And you should be jealous. Found a 2014 bottle. Just had 2 shots. Amassing flavor. Soft spice, even burn great caramel, vanilla, smoked oak flavor
dont be worried about the proof. this is a smooth drink if sipped slowly. well worth the money.
Great tasting bourbon and if you ever find yourself looking at a bottle at the store - buy it. They are very rare (at least in Canada) and definitively worth the price tag.
I recently partook of a couple of hefty tumblers of this with a friend in Nashville. It tasted like blazing velvet. Fiendishly strong, but so full of flavour and smoother than you would possibly imagine. All those syrupy tastes, that I personally love in a bourbon, come through in abundance, and followed by a long complex finish. In my opinion, anything added to it is going to take something away. I don't like ice or water in any bourbon, but in this it would seem sacrilege. It is extreme, dark and delicious. Just sit down, relax, sip it slowly over a long time and watch downtown Nashville light up. Bliss.
This is a intense full-bodied bourbon that needs to be tried in stages to truly appreciate the complexity of taste presented. First try it straight and know that it will burn from the moment it hits the tongue but you will note the appropriate amount of smoke, caramel, and oak flavors. Next try it with a splash of water to bring out caramel accents and the great creamy texture. Finally progress to the pouring it over ice where you will sip flavors of caramel, tobacco, oak, and enjoy the smooth velvety texture as the ice melts gradually. Best enjoyed with a cigar or fine pipe tobacco rocking in a chair on your porch.
