Description

A heavily peated single malt from young Lowland distillery Bonnington, independently bottled by Fruitful Spirits. Distilled in 2020, the whisky spent five years maturing in a charred new oak barrel, yielding 261 cask strength bottles when it was opened in 2025.

Nose

Cedar, cigar leaf, bonfire smoke.

Palate

Toffee, vanilla, BBQ briquettes and smouldering charcoal.

Finish

Rich and sweet with oak, caramel and charcoal.

Surprise me

Now and again you come across something that takes your breath away by the sheer surprise it has on your tastebuds, anticipation heightened then disappointed, not with this, even though the high alcohol content suggests water being added, I found this to be sublime just as it is, similar to As We Get It Ian McLeod, with whisky it's all about your own tastebuds, which are not static, but I can say I think this is gorgeous,
