A superb single barrel bourbon. Blanton's Gold is distilled from a mashbill of corn, rye and malted barley. Each bottle is hand filled, sealed, labelled and individually numbered.
Please Note: Unfortunately, the wax atop these Blanton's bottlings is currently prone to cracking. We're informed that this should be a short term problem, but please be aware when purchasing this tasty bourbon. (Don't worry, the delicious liquid inside won't be affected!)
Oaky, dry. Plenty of fruit, mostly dried. Chewy peels, floral. Spicy.
Complex, enjoyable top notes, chewy oak. Dark stone fruits, deep spices, peppy and rich.
Long, toffee, drying.

Blame John Wick for introducing this to me, but I can seee now why he drinks it. Extremely smooth, with similar notes to a Highland Park 12 (in my top 3)
I mainly drink smoky Scotch and this was my first Bourbon. Not comparing then to other bourbons, I did enjoy this one. Lots of flavor, a bit of sweetness.
One of if not the best Bourbon I have ever tasted. Blanton's Single Barrel is great the Gold is a notch above.
As a fan of the sweeter whisky, the bourbon market is something that has intrigued me, but where to begin? Step up my good friend Toby, who owns his own business in Washington, Indiana, who never takes a main interstate and stops at any liquor store he spots to see what mysteries lie within. He take advantage of the bourbon shortage and often naive liquor store owners to pick up some phenomenal bourbons, and he is extremely generous in letting friends try them. He ordered me this as a congratulatory bottle for the birth of my daughter, and this is as good as the Whistle Pig 15, Boss Hog, Weller 15, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof etc. I wont try describing my tasting notes, the ones above describe it better than I could, but with this being the first American in my great Scottish and Japanese collection, it will soon be joined by a Weller 12 and Wild Turkey Rare Breed
OMG! I have been drinking Bourbon Whiskey's for 30 plus years! Jim Beam was my best friend at 18, Wild Turkey at 19 and Rebel Yell at 20! Where the hell was this one hiding??? Blown away!!! 5+
