A 2010 vintage single malt from Blair Athol, matured for nine years in a hogshead cask, and independently bottled by us right here at Master of Malt. Brimming with creamy layers of cookie dough, silky honey, and nut butter, and bottled at a bold 55.8% ABV, 340 bottles of this delectable Highlander join our exclusive Master of Malt collection.

Creamy grist and doughy bread open the way, with floral honey and lemon drop sweeties. Warm cookies join in time, with wood chips, and a touch of liquorice beneath.
Soft, biscuity spice, creamy porridge oats, and drizzles of syrup are followed by buttery fruit scones, honeyed almonds, and gentle oak.
The nuttiness lingers with sweet almond butter and peanut brittle. A tickle of peppery warmth joins for the finish, kept in check by waves of buttermilk batter.

This dram fell tickles the throssle, a maist vauntie thrill o hatjer an pure watter wi the unnnernaich malt an barley camin throu like ae runnin burn in the autumn sunshine. An neat an strang as weel! Fit mare cuid ye ask fur?
On paper this seems too good to be true! 9 year old cask strength for £32! Neck pour is quite a narrow band of creamy ginger cake, and it goes down more its smells more like a fudgy orange chocolate barley sugar. That kind of fake orange you get in those boiled sweets. Absolutely not unpleasant, definitely different and a decent buy. Not for beginners, decent ginger spice and a good thick mouthfeel. Enjoying this one very much!
I always take my scotch with a splash of water. I forgot that it was not a 40% strength… It’s 55.8% and that makes the flavour really shine through, and it’s a gorgeous full blooded flavour too. I’m sticking with the ratio as I’m really enjoying it. ??
Ae richt nice dram, frae the first wee sniff o yer neb in the gless, sic ae grand aroma o thick fruity sunshine tae the last wee dribble oot the gless is puir delicht. An aa this fur mickle ablo £40.00! Gin yer nae gameramous, pit yer siler agin ae bottle o this bonny dram, ye'l be fell pleased te did.
I’m a big fan of Blair athol especially the 12year … but find this drinkable but not great , my personal taste needed a fair few drops of water but the taste wasn’t what I was expecting , personally not for me , will finish the bottle over time and wouldn’t buy again … the 8year mom speyside in my opinion is a lot nicer
